You can’t win the race if you don’t know how your car is running. In this session, each practice takes the driver’s seat to obtain their own performance dashboard - via the OrthoFi Smiles Performance Assessment (SPA). We’ll compare your results to industry benchmarks and insights from top-performing practices.
Just like pit crews use data to fine-tune every lap, this assessment helps teams spot strengths, identify gaps, and set focused goals — this is an essential tune-up to make sure you maximize the high-speed learnings from each of our sessions.
In today’s orthodontic landscape, the race is changing—and so is the field of drivers. In this high-impact session, Shannon Patterson unpacks the shifting demographics, competitive pressures, and new disruptors redefining the orthodontic marketplace, including the surge of female residents and the rising cost of care. She’ll explore how practices can stay ahead by aligning the entire team around a shared mission, navigating staffing and compensation trends, and preparing for the higher cost of digital treatment modalities. Before any practice can accelerate, it must understand the track conditions—this session shows you how to set the pace for long-term success.
Once you know the conditions of the track, it’s time to race strategically. In this data-driven session, Oliver Gelles uses Gaidge analytics and OrthoFi fleet insights to reveal the metrics that truly separate top-performing practices from the pack. From managing growth and optimizing cash flow to understanding risk and protecting profitability, Oliver breaks down the dashboards every doctor should be monitoring. Learn how to tune your operational engine, tighten your turns, and stay in control—so your practice stays on the lead lap in any market.
Every winning driver needs to know what’s happening under the hood—and what’s coming around the next turn. In this forward-looking session, the financial experts from Cain Watters break down the three most critical financial trends poised to shape performance in 2026. From shifting economic conditions and changes in patient spending behavior to evolving cost structures and tax considerations, they’ll highlight the signals practices must watch to maintain stability, protect margins, and plan with precision. Walk away with a clear view of the financial track ahead and the strategies needed to keep your practice fueled, agile, and accelerating toward long-term success
Even the fastest car needs the right support to perform. In this session, Dr. Lustig shares how he has navigated today’s staffing challenges by working smarter — streamlining systems, leveraging outsourced resources, and redesigning workflows to keep his practice running at peak performance. Learn practical strategies that can help any practice stay efficient, resilient, and growth-ready.
Today’s new patient arrives with fast-changing expectations shaped by their generation, their technology habits, and the way they interact with brands online. This session explores how to create a seamless, modern new-patient experience — from first click to first visit — while tailoring your marketing and communication to what each generation values most. Learn how practices can show up consistently, build trust faster, and convert more new patients in a highly competitive market.

March 14, 2026 Day 3
In racing, every touchpoint affects performance — and the same is true for your practice. Revenue is shaped by both your team and patient experiences. In this session, we’ll map the full patient journey and show how a well-trained, cohesive team delivers smooth, high-trust interactions from the first call and throughout ongoing care. We’ll also look again at how your brand, social presence, and referral partners fuel momentum beyond the chair. Leave with practical strategies to elevate team performance, strengthen case acceptance, and keep your growth engine running at top speed.
Championship teams don’t win by luck — they study the data and adjust their strategy every lap. In this session, we’ll tie together the lessons from both days and show how your numbers should guide decisions across TC workflows, the child and adult patient experience, revenue cycle management, and pending/observation systems. The practices that analyze their metrics and act decisively — through training, smarter workflows, technology, or outsourcing — are the ones that turn data into horsepower and keep their growth engine at full throttle.
We’ll close our time in the classroom by pulling the key lessons from the past two days into focus.
This short wrap-up is your chance to reflect, lock in your top takeaways, and identify the first action you’ll take when you return to the office.
The group will drive between 5-6 different model BMW vehicles from the M models to luxury sedans to SUVs on 3 different courses. Instructors provide instant feedback and coaching via in-car radio to help each driver achieve their best performance on each course. Some courses have competitive elements built in such as timed competition which make them excellent for not only skill training but for team building as well.
